Totnes is a small town, and so our Tango scene is small too, although if you go by percentage of Tango dancers to inhabitants, we might compete with Berlin or even Buenos Aires...:-) We are a very friendly bunch and we love having visitors. We welcome any level of dancing and we are proud of a considerate atmosphere on the dance floor. "The Totnes Tango scene seems to have a very large amount of heart per capita" (Korey Ireland from Kansas City, on one of his visits) Come and see for yourself!!!
We are now also starting to play the music ourselves in this area. 2010 saw the birth of the Totnes Community Tango Orquesta Tipica. for info on how to join us, go to Playing the Music
